Application Research Of Edible Landscape Under The Concept Of Permaculture

In recent years,the increasing of people and decreasing of land area had been the most prominent contradiction during the process of modernization in China.With the decreasing of the cultivated land and limiting of supplement ability,it was becoming more and more difficult to improve grain yield per unit area.In the 1980 s,Robert Kourik,the landscape designer and environmentalist,firstly proposed the concept of edible landscape,which stands for the integration of landscape design and agricultural production.Based on aesthetic feeling,the edible landscape gradually became popular as a new form of garden design.Due to the increasing serious environment problems,the landscape design had entered a new development period.Nowadays,more and more people appealed to the ecological sustainable and applied landscape architectures and the Permaculture was one of them.Permaculture was a kind of ecological design concept and method,which involved a wide range of plant,animal,housing and infrastructure(such as water,energy and communications),farms,forest,orchard,etc..Permanente emphasized the interrelation of various elements in garden-making and build the sustainable environment style.It could be summarized as seven aspects on the basis of the practical application such as plants,natural resources,ecology,energy,economy,science and technology,people's participation respectively.Edible landscape was the science including agriculture,ecology,design and other disciplines.This paper mainly attempted to study the application of edible landscape and the permaculture,consequently providing theoretical basis for the application of edible landscape.This paper included the following three parts:1.We defined the concept of edible land and sustainable design,clarify the domestic and foreign research background,and summarize the theory and development of edible landscape and permaculture.Moreover,we also clarify the purpose and significance of edible landscape as well as the research frame and method.Based on the research of the edible landscape theory,we determined the four factors that drived the development of edible landscape.2.Taking the design of edible land in Liyu village of Tai'an City as an example,Through scientific data analysis,this paper focused on the feasibility of the transformation of the edible land in the village and used the analytic hierarchy process to analyze the villagers,village cadres and tourists survey.According to the data analysis,we knew that the edible landscapewas really feasible in the village transform.3.This case was guided by the concept of permaculture,the concept of Park Yong sustainable,methods and principles were applied to the edible landscape.The background and SWOT of the village were analyzed in This paper,and the permaculture concept and principle were used to guide the planning principle,the general idea and the planning structure of the edible land in Luyu village.The plants in our design are mainly edible,and some other ornamental and medicinal plants.Totally,this paper emphasized the interaction between each element.According to the actual case application,it is concluded that the permaculture can become the dominant idea of edible landscape.
