A Study On The Artistic Dimension Of Chinese Contemporary Landmark Public Culture Architecture

Since the reform and opening up,with China’s rapid economic growth and national self-confidence,the demand of landmark buildings for Chinese people have increased greatly.Many "new landmark" buildings with mixed comments stand out,most of which are deeply influenced by the globalization "international style".As the most extensive public cultural architectures,they are not only to meet the public demand for cultural and artistic as a common place,but also considered as a window/landscape for presentation by the city or the country,in the mean while,they are even deemed as a symbol of gathering the national public spirit.Therefore,it is particularly worth to do the research about the large scale landmark public cultural architecture,such as museums,libraries,art galleries,theaters,concert halls,monuments and other landmarks,which are led by the government.In this paper,it tries to compare the artistic performance of several representative buildings,to examine the demand of contemporary Chinese public cultural architecture in the aspects of functional,regional and cultural heritage,through the humanistic perspective of art theory combined with the development concept of industrial technology to analyze the development direction of China’s landmark public cultural in the variety of ways such as summarize,reflect and criticize.In this paper,the abstract describes the significance of the study and the current profile;in the first chapter,it focuses on the theoretical basis and discusses architectural conception,public,architectural art and artistic aesthetics respectively in the performance of public cultural architecture;the second chapter chooses the representative public cultural buildings to analyze and contrast,deeply understanding their artistic factors,to summarize the reasons for the public’s different aesthetic opinions;the third chapter is based on reality,to discusses the meaning of "cultural landmark" and its basic requirements;finally,the last chapter summarizes the whole contents,to put forward the "people-oriented,heritage culture,integration of science and technology,characteristics and innovation" as the landmark public cultural building construction ideas.
