Under the influence of information, contemporary architecture has diverse and inclusive characteristics. Cultures and customs of different regions melt and there appears situation where architecture styles mixes. The style and design of contemporary landmark landscape buildings goes into a misunderstanding area where they pursue sense of volume and form. At the same time, these buildings tend to be similar and regional culture needs recover. We need to explore from the old civilization and seek for roots in convention, arousing the features of conventional culture in landmark landscape architectural styles, reshaping the affinity of architectural culture, raising people's sense of home and protection of conventional culture.Through studying archaeological Chu cultural relics carriers(including utensils, embroidery painting, literature books, construction sites, etc.), this paper searches for the cultural potential in Chu area, makes inductive analysis of Chu cultural resources, summarizes the implication characteristic of Chu Traditional Culture and the contained human spirit, namely, respecting for nature, romantic ethereal, assertive and imaginative for the former and not being limited into tradition, daring, perseverance for the latter. We should step out of the bound of traditional architectural types, study from its original forms and explain it from aspects including shape, color and decorative patterns. And we should also analyze its shape characteristics: Chu buildings pay attention to borrow natural factors---multi-storey, multi-layer, high platform and deep eaves while utensils and patterns often give us a feeling of romance and mystery, a combination of bold innovation, keen on Funghuang decoration and red color, tending to contrast color decoration. These things are what the contemporary buildings lack.Based on the detailed research of Chu culture, this paper puts forward two principles in application: the principle of territoriality and time. This paper generalizes its implication styles and shape characteristics, simplifies the conventional cultural elements and creatively reorganizes it from four aspects: forms, structural reorganization, color reappearance and implication melting. Besides, it isapplied into the landscape architectural style design, realizing the shifting of obtaining spirit from shape and obtaining shape from spirit. At the same time, the magnificent and majestic Chu culture should be combined with contemporary and modern buildings, also combining the characteristics and cultural background of all places. Then, using modern materials and innovative methods, a series of landmark landscape buildings will be produced, which both show the atmospheric, brilliant, assertive characteristic of conventional culture and meet the demand of modern buildings. This paper inherits and makes innovation of traditional elements, extracts representative elements, gradually makes designs guided by cultural implication styles and ultimately gets the modeling method. I have showed it in some chapters to demonstrate its applicability and feasibility. At the same time, this research is different from other Chu building researches and it has unique innovative meanings. This paper aims at fully employing Chu's conventional culture, trying to inherit its cultural characteristics, combining era features, surfacing regional cultural characteristics and giving convention new vitality.
