Research And Implemention Of Data Processing Based On The Surface Movement Radar

With the development of the air transportation,increasing number of aircraft and service vehicles,coupled with the impact of the fog,haze,rain,snow and other inclement weather,the traditional tower surveillance can't able to meet the needs of the traffic safety of airport surface,more and more airports have installed the surface movement radar(SMR).SMR is a radar for monitoring moving targets or non-stationary obstacles on the airport surface(especially runways and taxiways),which can help tower controllers and station controllers understand the position of aircrafts and vehicles clearly with the display.Data processing technology is the key process and step of signal processing of SMR.The main function of data processing is to perform data association,tracking,filtering,smoothing,forecasting and extrapolation to form stable tracks.At present,due to the limitations of technical level,there is no domestic manufactures of SMR installed at airport.So,it is of great strategic significance to focus on the research of the key technologies of SMR and develop the international advanced level of SMR,conducive to break the monopoly of foreign technology,improve the technical level,achieve the market occupation and promote the localization process of ATC equipment.The project is based on “the first sets of SMR application demonstration project”.University and enterprises jointly develop domestic SMR.As the project manager,I'm responsible for system design and implementation,including data processing of SMR.The main work and innovation is as follows:1.Trough the research of the function,technical index,composition and implementation of the mainstream SMR installed in China,this paper propose to implement data processing of SMR with “board and station”.2.Trough the research of the process and main theories of data processing,especially data association,filtering,forecasting and track management,combined with the practical application of SMR,analyzing and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of various algorithms,the difficulties of implementations,this paper propose to use the NNDA and ?-?filtering as the method of data processing.3.The functional modules of data processing are designed and implemented,including the processing of each module and all interfaces,which can help us accumulate experience.4.Through the MATLAB simulation and the actual data input,the method of data processing is tested.The results show that the method can meet the basic needs of the system.
