Considerable brick masonry buildings suffered severe damage in recent earthquakes, causing a major concern for researchers. In this paper, brick masonry building structure is used as the research object, and through low-cycle reciprocating test of a two-layer masonry seismic performance are analyzed. In addition,by adopting the finite element method,P-?analysis is used on the masonry modeling, quantitative studying the ductility performance factor of the constraints of masonry structure and it provides a reference about the design of masonry. This paper mainly completed the following three aspects.(1)A half-scale two-story masonry structure model were designed and manufactured, and the failure characteristics, strain of longitudinal bar, hysteretic behavior and skeleton curve were investigated about the model under low cyclic loading, which evaluate seismic behavior of model.(2)By using finite element method to simulate test process of the model, the simulation results are consistent with the experimental results, which prove that the validity of the finite element method.(3)On the basis of simulation, changing the parameters of brick masonry building:number of layers, floor tie-column ratio, floor wall ratio and storey height, the effects of different parameters about bearing capacity and ductility were studied. Results show that with the wall ratio and tie-column ratio increasing, bearing capacity is increasing, then with number of layers and floor height increasing, bearing capacity is decreasing, what's more,a negative correlation between changes of ductility and wall ratio, floor height and number of layers, and positive correlation between changes of ductility and tie-column ratio. And taking a two-story masonry house as an example, the ductility of masonry structures is quantitatively studied by various parameters such as number of layer, floor tie-column ratio, floor wall ratio and storey height. Results show that the variation of the floor wall ratio has the greatest influence on the ductility coefficient, the floor structural column ratio and the height infect generally, and the layers has the least influence on the ductility.
