The Research On Chengdu 1980s-1990s Established Multi Story Residential Buildings' Modifications For The Elderly

Twenty-first Century is the era of population aging,the population aging has brought pressure to the development of many countries in the world,China is no exception.With the development of our society,the problem of population aging is becoming more and more serious.One of the necessary conditions to release the pressure is to solve the housing problem of the elderly.Because our country has not yet reached the level of world-class social development,urban infrastructure needs to be improved,so the current home care is the most common mode of pension.Since the reform and opening up,China has constructed a large number of traditional residential community,with the development of society and economy,the community residential aging adaption problem has become more and more apparent,which cause the living inconvenience to the elderly,resulting in both residential demand proper aging transformation.This article takes the Chengdu multi-storey residential which was built between 1980s-1990s as the research object,through the literature review about Chengdu's development of 80-90s residential and general characteristics,physical and psychological characteristics of the elderly and their living needs,and to carry out both the necessity and sufficiency of residential aging transformation.The paper selects a typical residential area Qingyang residential district as specific research object.By making a questionnaire survey,the author get the chance to know the community elderly residents' living demands and their satisfaction degree of their living environment;and through the investigation,analysis summarized the common problems and special problems of aging adaption problems in Qingyang residential area,such as the lack of barrier free design in public space,lack of safety in toilet space,and residential space design is not reasonable;and by analyzing and comparing the cases of Chinese and foreign old residential apartments modification for the elderly,the author tries to explore the possibility of the Qingyang residential buildings elderly adaption modification strategy;and finally,the author proposes the principles,the elements,the key points and the difficult points of old apartments modification for the elderly in Qingyang residential district.The author hopes to provide reference and feasible suggestions of the building modification for the elderly which is similar to Qingyang residential district.
