Architecture's development takes on various feature.With the spread of international architecture around the world,traditional architecture's variety with regional feature are in crisis.Therefore,as the source of regional architecture with local characteristic,it's imperative that preserve and protection on traditional residence should be done.The representative Likeng village in Huizhou traditional villages is chosen to study on the its geographical environment,culture and customs,historical origion.By field surveying study on Likeng village,the plane composition,the spatial level,the facade pattern,the street and alley space and node form,the architectural ornament and its detail,architectural structure,the construction,material are deliberately discussed,which summarize the basic form,“?” form,“H” form,tandem type of Sanheyuan.Then,architectural typology method is used to dissect the traditional residence to deduce the relationship of analytical prototype and existing architecture.Meta design is obtained after the factors in traditional residence of Likeng village discussed above are further concentrated,which would be of valuable reference for following type conversion's application on designs,overall restoration and renewal of Likeng village,preserve of Huizhou traditional residence.
