In the north of China,CHP is a widely adopted mode during the central heating. It can not only improve the heating efficiency, improve the quality of heating, can also use energy to the fullest. But in CHP mode, thermal power plants are often far away from the city center, long distance, large diameter and high parameter thermal medium will inevitably produce some specific issues. From the saving energy point of view,It is required to central heating pipes as short and straight as possible,so as to reduce heat transfer process in the heat loss.Bellows expansion joints used in the central heating pipe, not only can solve the above problems, but also provide thermal compensation for the thermal pipe. Thus it solved the thermal expansion and contraction of heat pipe, thrust, stress concentration and other issues. At present,a large number of researchers and engineers have studied the Bellows expansion joints in the application of heating pipes. However, considering the principle, application and manufacture of the bellows expansion joints,it is very important to study the design of the bellows expansion joints of the heat supply pipeline in the heating industry. This paper make a comprehensive evaluation from the central heating pipe bellows expansion joint engineering applications and manufacturing. The various types of bellows expansion joints which are widely used in the central heating pipeline are systematically designed. The results provide a theoretical basis for the application of bellows expansion joints in engineering practice; The processing suggestions are put forward from the perspective of bellows expansion joints design, which based on the application of the bellows expansion joints in the heating pipeline and the main problems.
