Vehicle collision accident can cause serious consequence. So researching on collision accident of active and passive safety is necessary. While the rear-end collision is easy to cause secondary crash, in order to solve this problem, the stability and control strategy for vehicle to vehicle rear-end post collision is studied. a mathematical model of vehicle rear-end collision is also studied; the main parameters of the automobile after collision is analyzed; a test bench of hardware-in-the-loop is build; the PISP controller for controlling the lateral path of the vehicle to prevent vehicle after secondary collision is designed.Firstly, model and stability of vehicle dynamics after rear-end collision is analyzed. Vehicle collision dynamic model, which including 4-DOF vehicle dynamic model and collision model is created. After validate this model combined with Simulink and Carsim software, the regular of vehicle rear-end parameters is analyzed using theory of impact dynamic.Secondly, based on the dSPACE platform, the vehicle rear-end collision hardware in loop test bench is built. on the bench, ‘fishhook' and impact condition is tested. after analyzing signals of hydraulic system and the CAN net, the basic control strategy and effecting is obtained about ESC.Finally, while vehicle stability is lost after rear-end collision, a PISP(Post-impact Stability Program) control strategyis put forward with the controlling of wheel braking force using PID method. Using examples of simulation, the effect of ESC controller and the effect of PISP controller is compared. The results show that the stability of rearend vehicle and the occurrence of secondary collisions caused by the rear-end collision is avoid by controlled of PISP.
