Maintenance cost accounts for 10%~20% of direct operating cost of civil aircraft, not only directly affect the economic interest of the airlines, but also is the key factor affecting the flight safety and service life of the aircraft. The DMC of Line Maintenance, Shop Visit and Blocked Maintenance is discussed according to the constituent parts of the maintenance activities.Firstly, the main influence factor of the DMC of Line Maintenance, Shop Visit and Blocked Maintenance is discussed based on the constituent parts of the maintenance activities. Secondly, A estimating method of the DMC is established based on the influence factor of each maintenance type. The Partial Least Squares Regression(PLSR) and Grey theory are employed to estimate the Line Maintenance costs. Mathematical model of Maintenance cost with inspection interval is constructed to research the Shop Visit cost based on the reliability and maintainability of the component. The DMC estimating method centered on maintenance planning is presented to address the Blocked Maintenance according to the grouping methods of the B737 maintenance documents. Finally,the models are discussed and verified by the related data.It is concluded by discussion that the methodology that estimating the DMC according to the constituent parts of the maintenance activities, is complied with the implement of maintenance practice, can be served as a guidance to assist in determining the maintenance costs of different levels, and is significative in controlling the cost budget of specified maintenance event.
