In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, China's inland migration is one of the largest migrations in the history of migration, this migration began from Jiangxi province, take Hubei and Hunan provinces as main axises, and end to Sichuan province. This migration in our country's center-west region disseminates multiple dimensions such as cultural, economic, trade, customs, beliefs, is not only the power of this migration, but also the influences of this migration.Hunan is one of the most important node in the migration process, on the one hand, to undertake a large number of people from Jiangxi in Ming and Qing period, on the other hand, also to provides immigrants for Sichuan, thus the migration line "Jiangxi-Hunan " has played a pivotal role in this time of migrants, while the legacy of the monuments witnessed the "Jiangxi-Hunan" migration process, with a certain degree of comparability and a high discussion and research significances.In the buildings built during the migration process and retain to now, the traditional ancestral temple plays an important role in people's daily life and has an important symbolic significance, on the one hand, ancestral temple theater is the context of the patriarchal clan system when ancestral idea roots in the hearts of the people, has an important sense of faith; on the other hand, ancestral temple theater plays an important place for entertainment in daily life when the condition of entertainment is relatively deficient, while plays an important role in life. Ancestral temple theater is an important epitome in that period, and its special and beautiful shape, gorgeous decoration, is the great work of the traditional construction technology in the central and western regions of China at that time.Therefore, the thesis takes Jiangxi and Hunan as the study area, take the ancestral temple theater of the Ming and Qing Dynasties as the study object, discusses Jiangxi and Hunan's Temple theater construction system, takes the time background and terrain background of ancestral temple theater as the starting point, combines literature survey with field investigation, summarizes and analyzes their layout, construction scale, plane form, architecture etc. of ancestral temple theater built during Ming and Qing period, also summarizes some characteristics and laws of ancestral temple theater in Jiangxi and Hunan provinces, finally uses the method of comparative analysis to analyse the difference and identity of ancestral temple theater's building shape in Hunan and Jiangxi province, provides the basis and ideas for future study on ancestral temple theater and other traditional theaters.
