Traditional theatrical buildings plays an important position in people's life. The beautiful decoration and beautiful shape, not only embodies the extremely high level of Chinese traditional building techniques, but also reflects the patriarchal etiquette, folk customs, religious belief and other various cultural connotations. There are many kinds of traditional theatrical buildings, including ancestral temple theater, house theater, clubhouse theater, temple theater, etc. The ancestral temple theater is different from the others,because of its unique religious and educational. characteristic. And ancestral temple theater plays an important influence in the traditional patriarchal society. Hunan, as "Jiangxi Huguang, Huguang fill in Sichuan",the immigration channel nodes, left a large number of traditional ancestral temple theater building.This paper chooses the eastern, southern and middle part of Hunan where the ancestral temple theater are distributed most widely as the geographical clues. And the paper discusses the basic shapes of traditional ancestral temple theater.The writer starts from the study of the background and general situation of the local ancestral temple theater, then carding and induction of the left cases in the region by combing literature research and field research. The writer summed up the the general rules of the pattern of ancestral temple,and applies the method of comparative study of the ancestral temple theater in Hunan province with Jiangxi province, Sichuan province and Hubei province,emphatically from the location layout, space pattern and compares tectonic system. The writer summarizes the shape characteristics of the four areas of ancestral temple theater.generalizes the differences and similarities, and then come to general influence factor of the pattern of ancestral temple. The study provides some inspiration for the subsequent research of the traditional opera field.
