With the rapid development of China's civil aviation industry, it is extremely crucial to reduce airport noise impact in the vicinity of airports. Combination of aircraft types and flights can reduce noise impact to some extent. At present, the studies of fleet assignment focus on maximizing the economic benefits, without considering the noise effect and environmental cost for airports. Thus, the research is mainly on noise reduction-oriented fleet assignment for flights. Its core idea is that selecting the aircraft models with minimum noise impact for a single flight and flight strings under the premise of limited types and number of aircraft and equal transport capacity. Following are the objectives of this research.This paper analyzes the different impact of different aircraft types that performs the same flight using t-test based on noise monitor data of airport. The results show that the phenomenon of different models perform the same flight tasks on different dates is widespread and different models can generate significantly different noise when performing the same flight. Based on the results, the paper studies the fleet assignment model for single flight to reduce noise impact and its core idea is that the problem of fleet assignment model is modeled as a multi-objectives optimization problem, each sub-goal of which is the area effected by aircraft noise. Experimental results based on noise calculation model(INM) show that the proposed fleet assignment model can indeed assign the aircraft type with minimal aircraft noise impact for flights. The paper also verifies the validity of the model by analysis of correlation of aircraft thrust and landing distance.Based on the background that the main object of fleet assignment model is flight string, the paper studies and constructs the noise reduction-oriented assignment model for flight string. Firstly, in order to evaluate airport noise impact on the surrounding environment of airport reasonably, the paper proposes the airport noise cost compution model based on the maximum take-off weight of aircraft, the number of aircraft engines, aircraft type, aircraft operation time and other related factors.Secondly, construct the fleet assignment model for flight string taking the minimum of aircraft noise cost of flight and other economic cost as the optimization objectives and taking flights cover, aircraft flow balance, the fleet scale, flight string, routes and airports as constraint conditions. The paper also gives the method of solving the model based on discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm(DPSO).Experiments show that the model studied in the paper can indeed reduce noise impact compared to the referent model.
