The rapid development of modern science and technology is leading to a accelerating pace of life, people sometimes seem to forget the city where they live with modern building materials spread all over the city. Today, there are few cultural relics in the city of Handan. No other cultural charm is still remained in Handan but the training site of “Congtai”. Furthermore, the other historical sites are so scattered that the protection and utilization rate is significantly reduced, and the cultural propaganda is so weak that the city's cultural highlights are not prominent. This project, which is funded by the Handan municipal government investment and construction, is expected to reappear the culture of ancient city of Handan, convey the spirit and add the charm of the city of Handan through the design.This article mainly expounds how to use modern building materials to mold the image of ancient city, both with age and history. We analyzed the outdoor landscape. The design concept of “new expression of old culture” was used in outdoor landscape of “Junhe Belvedere Junhe Building” Sales Department. The article mainly expounds from three aspects. In the first part, we made a research and analysis on the environment around the site of the project and Handan city culture, and put forward the purpose of the design and research direction; The second part, In view of the present situation of Handan, we proposed the new expression "old culture" design concept and transparent glass throughout the space form of expression; The third part is the specific application of transparent glass and other modern building materials in outdoor landscape.
