Under the effect of the solar radiation, the air temperature in the parked car is increasing rapidly. It is bound to increase the load of the air conditioner and reduce the refrigerating efficiency when opening the automobile air conditioning system under a high air temperature, and is not conducive to energy saving and emission reduction. Using a solar powered ventilation system to reduce the inner air temperature close to outside environment before occupants entering the vehicle is an effective way to resolve above-mentioned parked vehicles sunning problems. This paper relies on the Wuhan Municipal UNISPAR(University-Industry-Science Partnership) project(CXY201415), “Design and Development of Vehicle Air Conditioning System”, using FLUENT software to simulate the solar radiation on car interior heating effect and the ventilation system of the cooling effect, to determine the best solution of car ventilation cooling.The main research contents of this paper is: researching the temperature filed distribution of parking time, vehicle parked directions and range of the parking latitude respectively under exposure; to obtain regular patterns of optimal vents through the development of cooling characteristics of different vent position scheme; studying in cooling characteristics of different inlet velocity and the size of the vents to get the influence law of the supply air velocity and the size of the vents.The research obtained the effects characteristics of the solar radiation to interior temperature field distribution, and provided the reference to further study in car ventilation cooling, and theoretical basis for vehicle parking directions, vents setting and fan flow selection. The research results show that, for the design or modification of the vents, the air outlet should be set at the area of high temperature area,so as to achieve the best cooling effect. Compared with the influence of wind speed and the size of the vents, the ventilation volume is the main factor affecting the car air cooling results. The larger the air flow rate, the average temperature of the air inside the vehicle is closer to the outdoor temperature, and the shorter time required to achieve the stability.The research of the parked vehicle ventilation system can effectively reduce the energy consumption of the vehicle air conditioning system and improve the efficiency, so that the automobile power load can be relieved. This energy-saving emission reduction measures not only could be benefits of the traditional car, and hybrid electric vehicles and electric vehicles more meaningful, which now is being vigorously supported and promoted by government. |
