Electronic Flight Bag(EFB) system is one of the latest achievements in civil aviation information technology field. EFB improves the transmission of digital information in civil aircraft cockpit to a brand new level as well as management, and it is important to airline for their electronic operation.EFB system has some features such as huge scale, complex structure, various data sources, and so on, which enhances the complexity of data exchange. At the same time, the reliability and security of data exchange can not be ensured because of complex network structure, numerous different users and pervasive problems in network security. Therefore, this paper is on the research of data exchange of EFB and safeguards.We analyzed the business logic and modular architecture of data exchanges of EFB system, based on which we proposed a data exchange model for EFB systems. And a data exchange project with intermediate data format based on XML is designed too.Traditional RBAC model has difficulties in meeting security requirements of data exchanges, so an EFB system access control model based on risk assessment is proposed.An EFB system data integrity checking mechanism which based on XML is designed in order to improve the data integrity through date exchanging. Text degest, digital signature generation algorithm and integrity checking procedure is proposed at the same time.In the end, we made experimental verification to the access control model based on risk assessment we proposed and its decision-making process. And we simulated and validated the data conversion and integrity checking mechanism. The experimental results demonstrate that the access control model and the integrity checking mechanism effectively satisfy the demands of EFB system.
