With the development of the industry of civil aviation, the number of flights taking off and landing on the airport increases rapidly. However, the snow weather has become a big challenge to the safety and efficiency of airports. The snow sweeper may not recognize the road condition because of drifting snow caused during the snow removal operation. If the vehicles are in the forbidden region which changes at different time to hold back kinds of vehicles, the work of other departments would be affected, even a security accident. When several snow sweepers are working at the same time, the whole optimization cannot be achieved by monitoring center, therefore leading to a low efficiency. As the monitoring center is far away from the snow sweepers, the center is unable to get the sweeper's state information in real-time served as the reference factor of scheduling. In terms of both safety and efficiency considerations, the monitoring vehicle terminal system of snow removal vehicle based on ARM is adopted in this paper.Firstly, the positioning system of the monitoring vehicle terminal system of snow removal vehicle and the method of wireless transmission are analyzed in theory, and the pseudo-range differential positioning technology and GPRS(General Packet Radio Service technology) are selected in accordance with the requirements of the vehicle terminal. Secondly the hardware system of the vehicle terminal is designed, including the power supply module, voice alarm module, display module, state information collecting module, and the system control module.The disposal of positioning information and the information transmission of wireless communication system are completed, after the completion of operating system transplantation in software and the driver loaded on the operating system. Finally,experiments and test results are analyzed and the positioning accuracy of the vehicle terminal is verified through static experiment and dynamic experiment.
