In recent years, the construction industry has developed rapidly and has been one of the most important pillars in the national economy. And the ensuing problems of construction safety accident occurring frequently have become the focus of social discussion, how to safely and stably develop is the key to long-term development of the construction industry. Therefore, improving construction safety accident management is particularly important.In the research on construction safety accident management performance evaluation, former scholars also made a great contribution, but there are still some problems, such as: index weight setting is unscientific, evaluation results are easy to be affected by subjective factors and so on. So this paper uses the data envelopment analysis method to evaluate the performance evaluation of the construction safety accident management. The DEA method has many advantages, such as: no need for the data processing, no need for the enactment right weight, can process the quantitative and qualitative indexes, the calculation results objectivity is strong, etc. use the DEA method to evaluate the performance evaluation of the construction safety accident management not only the calculation results objectively, but also can determine the improvement direction of the decision units.In this paper, I first determine the decision making units which are worth studying. Then I establish a comprehensive index system of the construction safety accident management performance evaluation from input and output aspect. After all this, I build the construction safety accident management performance evaluation model based on DEA. Then I run an empirical analysis. In the empirical analysis, I evaluate the construction safety accident management promotion performance of 31 provinces and cities in 2014 by DEA method. We used the BC~2 model to analyze the collected data. Using the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency, we described the overall situation of the whole country's construction safety accident management. We applied the input redundancy rate and underemployment rate of output from the analysis results to tell the reasons why the technical efficiency of some provinces and cities is invalid. Then I use the Super EfficiencyDEA model to analyze those provinces and cities whose technical efficiency is valid. By doing this, I can provide a reference for the further improvement of those provinces and cities. At last, this paper puts forward some suggestions for improving the level of construction safety accident management in our country.There are two innovative points in this paper: the first is introducing super efficiency DEA model into the performance evaluation of construction safety accident management to analyze the provinces and cities whose technical efficiency is valid; the second is adding one input aspect: the mortality during building one million square meters construction area and two output aspects: added value of construction industry and number of construction workers to provide a more comprehensive and more rational analysis for the performance evaluation of construction safety accident management.
