The Design Of Anechoic Chamber Smart Meter Test System

EMC laboratories have been widely used in various walks of life currently, but most of the EMC anechoic chamber in the laboratories are universal design. There has been no special design plan for smart meter. It fails to meet the requirements of the smart meter test due to the leakage of electromagnetic field, which result in the increase of ambient level. Therefore, it's essential to study on implementation method for the test line input and output of smart meter, analyse the anechoic chamber shielding effect to signal wire and research related core technology, and on this basis, it arrived at the solution by the specific anechoic chamber's design plan for smart meter, with which we could successfully complete the noise immunity test of radio-frequency radiation and the radiated disturbance test, fulfill the experiment's requirement of EMC regulations.At first, we introduced the background and significance of the research and analyzed the current and development status of anechoic chamber for testing smart meter etc. Meanwhile, after the study of government standard and State Grid business standard, we provided the urgency to design and construct anechoic chamber for smart meter in provincial-level Metrology Centre, and given the main research content and innovation idea finally.Secondly, we established a virtual load testing system of smart meter in anechoic chamber. Then developed a specific filter to test virtual load of smart meter according to the standards of smart meter testing and shielding indicate of anechoic chamber. We analyzed the influence to the error of smart meter after introducing the filter in conjugation with the principle of smart meter and the design parameter of the filter into account; we designed and developed voltage circuit static var compensator equipment, and confirme the equipment could accomplish system test.Eventually, we built a smart meter EMC test platform, developed an EMC test system specially for Metrology, realized the communication between test system and smart meter, we could monitor the error in-time when radiation interfered with smart meter, and completed the automatic testing of radiation of smart meter.In this paper, we have established design plan of anechoic chamber used for smart meter, and presumed the problems and solutions during the systematic set-up, and provided technical support of generalizing anechoic chamber for provincial-level Metrology Center.
