Building industrialization which is characterized by the use of standardized design, industrial production, construction mechanization and information management during the construction production process has become the new development trend of the construction trades. The development of building industrialization promotes the development of precast concrete structure, and the research and application of precast concrete structure is increasing. The traditional design method of precast concrete structure, which is from integrated stucture analysis to member splitting, leads to many types of precast concrete component, which is inconvenient to the production of precast concrete component factory, and more inconvenient to industrial production. Building information modeling, or BIM for short, with the main line of the building lifecycle, connects various aspects of construction with information and has changed the methods of construction production and management. Combining BIM technology and the design and construction of precast concrete structure can take advantage of information integration and realize the integration of design, production, construction, operation and maintenance.By analyzing the characteristics of precast concrete structure and BIM technology, the paper combines BIM technology with precast concrete structure and puts forward a new design method of precast concrete structure based on BIM. The research focuses on the key technology of the creation and management of precast concrete component library based on BIM, analysis and optimization of BIM model of precast concrete structure, application of BIM technology in construction simulation and information feedback of precast concrete structure. The main work and results of the research are as follows:By analyzing traditional design process, design criteria and design method of precast concrete structure, a design method of precast concrete structure based on the concept of BIM is put forward. It changes the idea of splitting design which is from the whole structure to the members, and applies the design method for precast concrete component. The design method takes precast concrete component library as a starting point and selects members from the library to form BIM model of the unitary structure. The model is checked, adjusted and optimized by structural analysis review and construction cimulation, etc. Finally, a rational design program is formed. The BIM model which is well adjusted can be used to guide the production and transport of precast concrete component and assembly construction.To achieve the design method of precast concrete structure based on BIM, the primary problem is to create and manage precast concrete component library based on BIM. The paper researches the methods of classification, coding and information creation of precast concrete components. It realizes reasonable and effective management of component library and function of storage verification, inquiry, modify, delete and application of precast concrete component.Predesign of precast concrete structure can be quickly completed according to precast concrete component library. The structure needs to be reviewed with structural analysis and the BIM model should be adjusted when necessary. The review of structural analysis uses finite element analysis and the results of the analysis should be compared with standard specification. This paper realizes algorithm design to solve repeated operation of the review process and apply collision detection to further check, adjust, and optimize BIM model.The design method is researched and applied at the background of industrial building of Wancheng of Nanjing. A precast concrete component library is created and applied to form BIM model of the structure. The BIM model is reviewed according to structural analysis, adjusted and optimized with collision detection. Finally, a rational design program is formed. The paper also simulates the construction process and make transmission, feedback and sharing of information from design to site construction.
