Study On Project Schedule Management Based On BIM

Construction industry is the pillar industry in China. It has played a positive role in terms of GDP growth. With the development of economy, the progress of science and technology,more and more buildings has been built.They have huge volume, complicated structure and strange shape, long construction period, and many participants. It is a new challenge for traditional project management,especially for project schedule management. Schedule management is a significant role in the three goals of project management. Under the time dimension for the cost,material,safety and material,it ensure the project completion on time.Construction is a capital-intensive and population intensive industry. Traditional project management depends largely on the project manager's personal experience. Now, more and more buildings has beend, we need to improve the traditional schedule management. So,The introduction of building information modeling would improve the efficiency of management. Building information modeling is a digital model which has building informations. BIM technology provides a new method an idea for construction project schedule management. Currently,BIM applied to all phases of project,in China its research and application is still in the primary stage.In particular,the study on schedule management has not matured.And its research range is narrow.So it is necessary to study project schedule management based on BIM.It is a key way for the construction of the informationalization.Based on the analysis of Chinese and foreign research situation,I have a thorough understanding of theory related to BIM,IFC and WBS and progress management. In the third chapter, I have analysised the problems and its causes in the traditional project schedule management macroscopicly.Then, the paper introduces the project schedule management model based on BIM. Project schedule management based on BIM has more advantage than the traditional project schedule management.In the fourth chapter, though Revit,Project and Navisworks,I researched the mechanism of the BIM application in the project schedule management. The fifth chapter, through the actual case, this paper analyzes the funtion of BIM in different stages of construction project. BIM has three main funtion of three dimensional view, collision checking and construction simulation.By applying project schedule management based on BIM,the efficiency of field construction has improved, the artificial cost and time cost have reduced,the project time has limited,and the work efficiency of project management has improved.With the analysis of actual case,this article example the value of BIM in project schedule management.It provides a train of thought.This contributed to the construction industry to develop in the direction of industrialization and modernization.
