CTCS-2 level train control system is based on track circuit plus point type balise to transfer train operation license information and the target distance model to monitor the safety of train operation of train operation control system. It faces passenger dedicated line, line speed, and a variety of speed limit section, and drived by locomotive driver based on cab signal.Based on these advantages of CTCS-2 and the requirements of the large-scale construction and operation for inter-city railway, this dissertation studies application and research of CTCS-2 train control system in intercity railway. This dissertation states the overall technical design, system architecture, working mode combing, operation scenario analysis and the sequence of the specific project practice.Firstly, according to the operation characteristics of the intercity railway, the demand of the control system of the inter city railway is listed. The system features and function are respectively described in the process of description on demand. The composition of the ground equipment and on-board equipment of the intercity railway train control system is represented in the system architecture, and associative function of the various types of equipment is described detailedly.Secondly, the working modes and operation scenario of CTCS-2 in the intercity railway are analyzed. The working modes and mutual conversion among modes are analyzed in detail.The working state of on-board equipment in train operation control system includes manual operation under ATP(Automatic Train Protection) and ATO(Automatic Train Operation). Manual operation under ATP includes nine work modes. Based on full supervision mode, in superposition of the autopilot function, on-board equipment works in autopilot mode(AM). The operation state and operation limitation of on-board equipment in different modes are analyzed, and the conditions for the conversion and the conversion between different modes are studied. According to the operation requirement of the intercity railway, 12 main operational scenarios, the driver's operation methods and the train running tracks in various operational scenarios are analyzed in the way with pictures.Finally, combined with the intercity railway from Huizhou to Dongguan in the Pearl River Delta intercity rail network, the intercity railway train control system of the hardware and software architecture are described in detail. This dissertation respectively analyzes the composition and the content of hardware and software architecture for on-board equipment system. The software architecture of ATP and ATO, the GSM-R wireless communication, precise parking of platform, door controlling, fault handling, degraded modes and so on also have carried on the detailed study. The control precision and the control principle of the screen door are described, and the information exchange process between subsystems is expressed by the way of flow chart.
