As Chinese high-speed rail technologies have become increasingly advanced, safe, reliable, cost-effective, high-speed rail network has increasingly expanded coverage. In order to develop the management advantages and technical advantages of the railway companies, it need to improve our service quality of intercity train timetable. At present, our intercity railway has implemented the requirements for cycle mode of transport organization, but in the adoption cycle train timetable to guide transport operations research would be not perfect. This paper studies how to design cycle train timetable of intercity railway, in order to study the intercity railway transport organization for cycling, cyclic train timetable characteristics, applicability and prepare periodic train timetable theory, the key methods of periodic train timetable, model building and so on.Research of this paper includes the following aspects:First, with the study of cyclic train timetable theories at home and abroad, this paper analyzes intercity rail transport organization for cycling organization, summarizes the advantages of the cyclic train plan as well as the requirements of cyclic train operation plan. And it completes intercity train timetable analysis. Secondly, with the analysis of cyclic train timetable characteristics, it includes the applicability and the feasibility of intercity train cycle timetable. Procedure of the design for cyclic train timetable, cyclic train timetable designing methods, conflict resolution techniques are studied in this paper. Furthermore, it proposes the thought how to design the cyclic train timetable of intercity railway and analyzes the methods of designing cyclic train timetable. Through the theory of Periodic Event Schedule Problem, it completes the model of the cell cyclic train timetable. Finally, the Guangzhou-Zhuhai intercity rail as an example, through using of research techniques, designs cell cyclic train timetable, it completes cyclic train timetable for the whole day, in order to provides a reference for future research.
