Research Of Cultural Block Design Based On The Perspective Of Intangible Culture

Intangible culture is a living fossil of traditional culture.It is an epitome of social culture and spiritual civilization,which shows the locals’ traditional behavior and lifestyle.Cultural block that provided with unique properties of life,emotion,experience and culture is a special and important part of an area.On one hand,intangible culture depends on cultural block which provides a space for intangible culture to inherit.On the other hand,intangible culture is cultural block’s intension and soul.It guides and leads the design of cultural block.Due to intangible culture,the design of cultural block gets distillated and transforms from physical level to genius loci.Thus there is a natural relationship between intangible culture and cultural block.Based on the perspective of intangible culture to study cultural block’s design is significantly important.Therefore,this paper from the perspective of intangible culture,through doing some researches of domestic and foreign theories and doing some field trips of cultural blocks,to construct a theory model called equivalence of ancient and modern culture.The theory model includes three parts: cultural equivalence concept,cultural expression model and evaluation model.Cultural equivalence concept emphasizes that cultural block should be integrated into intangible culture,interacting with history,context,space and texture and forming equivalence relationship between each other.It is also stresses that the design of cultural block should find the meeting point of traditional culture and modern life,as well as create an emotional and lively cultural block with memory and soul.Cultural expression model is used to help designer solidify the design concept into cultural block by design methods,such as exhibition,deconstruction,metaphor,replace and so on.It also helps designer integrate culture into physical space in a certain way.Evaluation model points out four indexes include authenticity,artistic,participation and revival to help designer check his design and ensure the integration of design and design concept.With this theory model,we can inherit intangible culture in dynamic way and develop cultural block in healthy and orderly way.In other words,this theory model can help us complete the work that inherit and develop tradition in contemporary.Finally,combining with Tonglu intangible park planning project and Anhui Huangshan Baishigong cultural block design project,from different perspectives,to illustrate how to use cultural equivalence theory in project.
