Research Of City Park Transitional Landscape Space Design

As a contact body between park and surrounding environment,city park transitional space is the most common space type accessible to people in daily life due to its connection function.With the gradual openness of city park,original disposal method of external boundary is found to be defective in its connection with internal space.Therefore,it is necessary to pay attention to transitional space design.Since transitional space is the most active and various type of landscape space as well as the most frequently visited space of people,transitional space deserves significant research values.Transitional space in this thesis regards external boundary of city park as main research object.Based on an overview of relevant research consequences at home and abroad,this thesis defines the concept of city park transitional space and concludes the features of city park transitional space as universality,vagueness,contradictoriness,complexity and variability.Successively,it analyzes classic cases at home and abroad and conducts field investigation,data measurement and questionnaire survey on city parks such as Shanghai,Dalian and Wuhan.Targeting at construction form of transitional space,it figures out existing issues and countermeasures.In consideration of physical environment analysis,main influential factors of city park transitional space include surrounding environment,microclimate and noise.As for social environment analysis,main influential factors include human behavior in transitional space,accessibility,security and administration.Accordingly,common modes of city park transitional space can be concluded.In the end,this thesis summarizes organizational construction of botany,terrain,water body,building and other elements in city park as well as the construction of psychology,five senses and microclimate in transitional space,in expectation of providing a theoretical basis for future city park transitional space design.
