The Application Research Of Automatic Identification System (AIS) Technology In Navigation Aids

As the important navigation facilities to guarantee the ship to have safe,economy and convenient sailing,AtoN plays very important role in water transportation and marine resources exploitation.With the e-navigation proposed,the technology of Telemetry and Telecontrol in the field of aids to navigation will be used more and more,then the requirement also increasing.Application of AIS technology in the field of aids to navigation,not only can improve the reliability of the navigation mark,improve the efficiency of navigation mark management department,but also can effectively promote the construction and development of e-navigation,provide better quality of maritime security service for the navigation.This paper analyses the principle of the terminal in Telemetry and Telecontrol field based on AIS;comparing the application of AIS,GSM / GPRS in Pharos Remote Monitoring and control field,then analyzing the difference between them;the VDL link performance are analyzed by using the AIS equipment.According to the standards of SN.1/Circ.289,the paper also explores the type III AIS AtoN which can broadcast the environmental news reports,collect the meteorological and hydrological data and other information.The AIS AtoN we developed can collect the information about working condition of AtoN,solar panels working state,the state of battery.After testing,the terminal can correctly collect the state data of the light like we want,send the AIS data according to the user-defined communication principle.The base station will receive and deal with the collected navigational state information,then the information can display on display platform.This paper analyses and handles the problems of AIS Telemetry and Telecontrol navigation occurred in practical application,based on the practical application of Haiyang port and Lanshan Port.This paper also introduces the design and implementation of the scheme for maritime long distant AIS relay transmission,and puts forward the solution to the problems in the application,which offers the basic research and practical exploration about the use of future AIS AtoN.
