The Comparison Of Colonial Architecture Morphological Characteristics Of Shanghai And Tianjin And The Extension In The New Architecture Design

Colonial architecture is the inevitable outcome of the colonial history in modern China.The style of the local colonial architecture can not only reflects the natural and geographical,but also mirrors the humanity factors such as the life concept and behavioral pattern of the time.It records the developing venation from the impact to rebirth between the regional ethnic culture and the foreign architectures.In the same way,As an important component of the modern history context in our country,colonial architecture plays an important part in these aspects such as showing the local history of urban development and highlighting the urban regional characteristics.But nowadays,under the situation that the global architecture styles become more and more similar,the huge development of modern city construction in our country demands for the modern style fast-growing construction imminently,together with the influence of anti-colonization ideological trend,designers can only pay more attention to the modern style design instead of the regional style.It leads to the sense of place and history being decreased in architectural design,even to the degree that the new buildings can't hold up the burden of regional history and culture feature.During the city transformation and reconstruction process in the recent years,though people have come to focus on the influence of architectures in the city design,most of the colonial achievements always be limited to the district research instead of the comparison between different regions. In that case, the influence and transformation which made by local characteristics to the colonial architecture form will be ignored. Taking these problems into consideration and viewing at the angles of historical and cultural continuation and urban landscape construction,on the basis of local characteristics and view at this angle,how to make the colonial architecture reborn, contribute to the perfect blend between the colonial architectures and new buildings and refigure the historical status as a city important core has been a big problem which need to be seriously studied and solve it as soon as possible.Since recognized the important value of colonial architecture in the city history,and summed up the existing problems in the contemporary urban construction, we should draw lessons from foreign advanced experience on the basis of domestic research status about the colonial architecture to find efficient methods to get the architectural feature and historical value to pass on from generation to generation.On the one hand,the designers should start from the view of protecting the historical and cultural imprint to maintain and repair the important architectures and historical blocks,on the other hand, the designers should start from the view of advancing with times to seek how to live in harmony with so many modern buildings and how to integrate with local characteristics.Only in this way,can we exploit the colonial architecture symbols' reproducibility in the new environment by the new theories, materials,technologies and techniques,and bestow new life and energy to the unique historical image by the design styles of new buildings.Taking the colonial architecture of Tianjin and Shanghai as an example, this article makes a exploration on how to draw the reborn approaches and strategys under the basis of saving the local regional features of the colonial architecture in the process of city transformation and reconstruction, and provide some references for the urban architectural design in the future.
