Structure seismic experiment is the main method of structure seismic study.Hybrid simulation is the hot pot in the seismic research of structures at home and abroad because it has the advantage of traditional finite element numerical simulation and traditional structural seismic experiment,and it can avoid their corresponding shortcomings meanwhile.In order to improve the reliability and accuracy of large and complex structures' seismic analysis,multi-scale calculation method is applied to hybrid test method,and these two methods form multi-scale hybrid simulation method in this paper.To verify the method of multi-scale hybrid simulation's feasibility,related works were done as follows:1?Firstly,according to the research status of the hybrid seismic test method at home and abroad,the contents of this article were defined.Then summarized the principle of hybrid test method,structure multi-scale calculation method and multi-scale hybrid test method.The part of multi-scale hybrid test method principle was introduced in detail,including the choose of different scale elements,the coupling between different scale element and the setup of experimental element.2?According to the needs of multi-scale hybrid experiment method's study,the AOM hybrid test system was built.The connecting of ABAQUS?Open Fresco and MTS control system replies on ABAQUS user subroutines VUEL and MTS CSIC data interface program.3?Took the third generation 3-story benchmark buildings as the study object,and took the side column at the bottom left of the whole frame below the inflection point as experiment element,and the rest of the structure was analyzed in ABAQUS by B31 element.Specimen was designed by stiffness equivalent principle and its boundary condition was hinge joint.According to AOM hybrid experiment system operation process,conducted the explicit algorithm hybrid simulation under the two conditions of experiment.The experimental results validated the AOM system has good stability and loading precision,and it can realize the 3d structures' nonlinear analysis.4?Subsequently the multi-scale calculation method was applied to the AOM hybrid experiment system.The study object,the selection of experimental element,the design of the specimen,the setup of the specimen and the explicit algorithm were same as above.What is different was computational elements.In this model,beams and columns whose mechanical property is linear were simulated with the beam element(B31),and the beam-column joints whose mechanical property is nonlinear were simulated with the solid element(C3D8R),and the side column at the left bottom of the whole frame whose mechanical property is strong nonlinear was simulated with experimental element.The results of the hybrid simulation showed that the AOM hybrid experiment system can satisfy the requirements of multi-scale finite element hybrid simulation,ensure the accuracy of the test load control and stability,and multi-scale hybrid simulation method can authentically reproduce the structure's mechanical properties prone to damage or can't simulated by the finite element analysis software;and the method of multi-scale finite element hybrid simulation can be an effective method for large-complex building structures' seismic analysis which not only needs the smaller computational cost but also can analyze with relatively high precision.
