On 4th,January,2014,our country took haze weather into 2013 Natural Disaster Report for public review,causing extensive attention in the whole country,and various solutions started to emerge since then.This thesis studies the issue of city space reconstruction under the impact of haze,and take Zhengzhou,the provincial capital of Henan Province,as the object of study.The city is currently undergoing a critical stage of urban space reconstruction and expansion,and faces a series of important changes during transformation period,such as old city region renewing,new city region planning & development,reconstruction of urban village,and readjustment of industrial structure,meanwhile,large-scale city construction has begun to seriously interfere urban life,among which haze stands out significantly in Zhengzhou despite being a national pollution problem.Firstly,the thesis analyzes the concept,composition,and causes of haze in great detail,introducing the dynamic factor of urban space reconstruction under the impact of haze by the analysis of urban space reconstruction dynamics.Secondly,the specific circumstance of the case city Zhengzhou is presented with much attention,taking quantitative analysis for the status qua of haze in Zhengzhou in detail utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods,with objective data demonstrating the level of haze pollution.Then,the thesis analyzes the space evolution of the city since the foundation of China utilizing longitudinal comparative analysis and space analysis,and summarizes the city space formation of Zhengzhou experienced “one center,one pole → multicenter,multipole” evolutionary process,which,in combination with the relationship between haze and space changes,leads to the conclusion of theoccurrence rate of haze in Zhengzhou gradually increases with the expansion of constructed area,the population growth,the improvement of urbanization level and the enlargement of the scale of industrial development.Lastly,by analyzing the urban space reconstruction’s goal and strategy of Zhengzhou,the thesis summarizes several principles to follow while reconstructing urban space under the impact of haze,for example,the principle of intensive land usage,the principle of “old upgrading to new” in industrial development,the principle of “regional combination ” in greenland development,and the principle of“half astern into three” in industrial reconstruction,on the basis of which the thesis illustrates the leading role of Zhengzhou ’s urban space reconstruction for the urban space reconstruction mode of similar cities,and explores the development of similar cities in the following three aspects: natural factors,industry layout and traffic condition,thereby summarizing an optimal development mode.
