Innovation is the spirit of a nation's progress,and it's methods have got unparalleled attentions and wide-ranging applications. Nowadays, commodities around contact us most and have the closest connection with us consumers. With the consistent need for commodity development,it is our time's necessities to implement innovative designs to the commodities.But now,we are lack of creative thinking theories and application researches in commodity design whether at home or abroad,so training designers the innovative abilities to apply innovative thinkings solving the design problems is our urgent need.How to make use of the previous adv anced innovative measures to do some good designs at home?A paper shows, Triz is the method,which systematically and regularly resolved the problems in the process of commodity design research.Firstly, according to the features and concepts of the commodit ies,the paper defines the commodities that will be involved,analyses trends and the necessities of innovative methods research in commodity design.And then,it applies some of the methods in the process of commodity design to build a workable theory model of commodity innovative design.Finally,it uses the model that has been built in two specific design proposal practices which conclude distinctive mineral water bottle practice and sink practice in drainage and improvement design to further demonstrate the effect of Triz in commodity design.The goal of the paper hope to grasp the theoretical model of innovative design in commodity design,and settle solid foundations for doing a better job in modern commodity innovative design.
