This paper expounds the basic principle of seismic design method based on performance and basic steps. Obtained based on the performance of the seismic design is suitable for use in transfinite building structure design.2. By applying performance based seismic design method, USES the establishment of the China construction science research institute SATWE software for small earthquakes elastic analysis, and using Midas building housing structure analysis and design software, this paper compares and analyzes the structure of the cycle, displacement, just compare weight ratio of the overall calculation results and analysis, ensure the reliability of the mechanical analysis results.
