Since China’s economic recovery, with the development of technology, advances in various industries; increasing number of high-rise buildings. But our country is in an earthquake-prone area, and a considerable portion of the seismic performance of existing buildings can not meet the requirements of existing features; in order to protect the masses life and property safety, seismic analysis of the performance of existing buildings is particularly important. Especially the seismic performance of high-rise buildings are more prominent.Analysis of the seismic performance of existing buildings means seismic appraisal. But due to the current seismic appraisal criteria can’t meet all existing buildings, in this paper, aim at outside the scope of appraisal standards, analysis of frame-tube hight-rise building structures after adding layers, set a specific appraisal method——the two-stage seismic appraisal, combined with the specific project examples come to a complete analysis of its seismic appraisal then does not meet the qualification requirements. The performance of the more commonly used method of reinforcement, using a comprehensive approach to structural seismic strengthening design. Thesis analyzes the seismic methods now widely used theoretical calculations of the theoretical derivation formula of each method, and the advantages and disadvantages of a comprehensive analysis of the applicability of each method, and finally selection the time-history analysis seismic performance analysis to the project case before and after reinforcement of structural. The RHITG035 artificial waves, TH3TGO35 natural wave, VAH-2 natural wave are used to input calculation software for structural engineering instance analysis, before and after reinforcement, the structure under seismic action throughout the corresponding dynamic response.The structural by time-history analysis, compares its seismic capacity, floor displacement, story-drift, interlaminar shear, storey level speed and acceleration before and after structural reinforcement. Draw a conclusion, the department store reinforcement by the comprehensive method of article designed, structural seismic performance has improved in all aspects, satisfies the requirement of seismic appraisal; The study on the seismic appraisal and seismic performance analysis after reinforcement have certain reference value to similar engineering.
