With the speeding up of urbanization process, the the function of the large transportation hub becomes more and more and the internal passenger traffic is increasing. The internal environment of transportation hub is becoming more and more three-dimensional. In this case, it’s very difficult to arrive the destination faster and more safe. So the service that the guidance signs province can not be ignored. Reasonable guidance signs layout system can improve the efficiency of the wayfinding process, make transport hub in an orderly and safe operating condition.Firstly, this article summarizes the signs’ development,classification and design principles. And the development of the guidance signs have carried on the summary. Then it analyzes the present problems of guidance sign system, and selects the guidance sign layout system as the research object.In this paper, starting from the visual Angle, through theoretical analysis and experimental demonstration, we get the mathematical model of a sign’s visual catchment area. Then, by researching the mechanism research of the simulation software and combining the wayfinding behavior in real society, we discuss the wayfingding behavior based on visual catchment area from six aspects, and put forward the basic strategy of wayfinding behavior.And then we take Shijiazhuang airport as an example, use the simulation software to do the actual space modeling, and write the C-Programe to simulate the actual crowd wayfinding scenario to get a large amount of simulation data.Through the statistical methods to do the data processing, this paper proposes a evaluation method about the reasonable degree of the sign layout in the closed space. This will have a strong realistic guiding significance to the sign layout in transportation hub.In this article, we combine qualitative and quantitative methods by using the mathematical geometry, real experiments, simulation software, C programming and other research methods. And visual angle is taken full account of in the simulation model. So that, we can provide the reference for the national standard revision about the guidance sign system.
