With the rapid development of China’s economy and society,the development of intelligent transportation is getting faster and faster.The highway network is becoming more and more mature and complex,and the function of the special lane for automatic driving also needs to be improved.However,there is less research on the design of traffic signs for automatic driving recognition technology in China.Autonomous vehicles are susceptible to external interference in the process of recognizing traffic signs,and the interference factors are many and complex,and the recognition process and results are prone to cause many adverse consequences and safety hazards.Therefore,studying the adaptability and matching between expressways and autonomous vehicles is one of the important contents of building intelligent transportation.Based on the basic theory of traffic sign recognition and the vehicle test of "T5 EVO Intelligent Network ADAS Road Test" of Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co.This paper evaluates the TSR performance of vehicle safety system.The vehicle test indicates that the traffic sign recognition system of autonomous vehicle can recognize traffic signs.In addition,through the analysis of vehicle test results,it is found that lighting conditions,road environment visibility and adhesion coefficient,and road technology level conditions will affect the recognition of traffic sign recognition system of autonomous vehicle.Secondly,considering the influence of different road slope and road linear conditions,the TSR(Traffic sign recognition,TSR)system simulation experiment model was constructed by using MATLAB\Simulink and Prescan co-simulation.And from the two aspects of the number of single support structure traffic signs and the probability of low recognition traffic signs,the optimization scheme of the original traffic sign layout is determined.Thirdly,in order to study the influence of traffic sign parameters on TSR,within the optimized range of traffic sign layout,traffic sign identification simulation experiment of TSR system was conducted by changing the vertical or vertical angle between side signs and lane center line,the size and diameter of sign layout,and the height between the lower edge of sign board and road surface,etc.The suitable traffic sign layout parameters in terms of inner inclination angle,outer diameter of layout size and height between lower edge of plate and road surface are obtained.Finally,the traffic sign simulation model of TSR system is applied to conduct the simulation experiment of the layout of traffic sign identification by autonomous vehicle on expressway ramp and sharp curve,and obtain the simulation data of TSR traffic sign recognition time,identification distance,operation time and distance,etc.The analysis shows that the optimized traffic sign layout scheme can meet the recognition requirements of TSR system and the minimum travel distance requirements of vehicles.All up,the TSR system experiment model is constructed by using MATLAB\Simulink and Prescan co-simulation to design and optimize the layout of traffic signs,and the layout parameters conducive to the TSR system to identify traffic signs can be obtained,providing design ideas and reference schemes for the subsequent intelligent road traffic sign design and optimization. |
