China’s high speed railway is growing rapidly. According to2013-2017China’shigh-speed rail industry research and investment strategic planning analysis report,by the end of2010, China’s railway mileage reached91000kilometers, rankingsecond in the world. High speed railway mileage ran up to8358km, ranking first inthe world. To2012, high-speed rail opened a total of13000kilometers above.With the rapid development of high-speed railway, rail transportation hub isplaying a more and more important role. Since the stream of people are gather in railtransportation hub, urbanization makes rail transportation hub given to commercial,office, entertainment and other features besides its basic transfer function. Railtransportation hub is becoming a complex building body having a complexenvironment. If the need of pedestrian is satisfied in this complex building body, theymust to find how to go to the place they want to go to. Therefore, the design of thepedestrian guidance signs in rail transportation hub plays a very important role.In this paper, research object is the pedestrian guidance signs of rail transporthub, which synthetically applies literature study, empirical research method, researchanalysis, contrast study and math optimizer. Firstly, definition and classification ofpedestrian guidance signs is carried on and construction nodes of rail transportationhub is analyzed. Then combining the classification of pedestrian guidance signs andthe construction nodes of rail transportation hub, pedestrian guidance signs aredivided into four grades: Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ. And also, the layout of pedestrian guidancesigns according to four grades at each specific construction nodes of railtransportation hub comes into question. Focus on using math optimizer modeling, thepaper gives a quantitative research on method of pedestrian guidance signs setting inrail transport hub, using AHP to determine the strength coefficient of destinations, andhaving a systematically optimal modeling for its layout position, and adopting theIFD-NSGA-Ⅱ to solve the model, to establish a scientific method to settingdirectional signs in rail transport hub. Finally, the paper shows the feasibilityand effectiveness of the method by the example of a rail transport hub. Through this research, we get the integrated system layout of pedestrian guidancesigns in rail transport hub, which provides useful guidance for design work of layoutof pedestrian guidance signs in rail transport hub.
