With the acceleration of the process of modernization of the city and the rapid expansion of the urban population, transportation environment is deteriorating. Subway construction is not only an important way to ease road congestion situation, improve urban traffic conditions, and promote the sustainable development of urban transportation construction, but also it is an important means of underground space development and utilization.Due to construction of complex geological conditions, intensive underground pipelines, many buildings around the metro project and many roads, there are a lot of the potential problems in the safety of subway construction.Scientific and rational means of monitoring is an important means of deep foundation pit safety management. Its scope includes monitoring body itself and the surrounding environment monitoring around the deep foundation pit. According to the monitoring results, the potential danger will be detected in order to judge the safety of the project and take immediate measures. The results of the monitoring will guide the on-site construction to ensure security and stability in deep foundation construction.This thesis at first researches the characteristics of the deep foundation pit and the monitoring requirements and the monitoring and early warning system. Secondly, this thesis analyzes and researches the problems in the safety monitoring and early warning system from the perspectives of construction entity. Thirdly, this thesis gives the improvement measures for the safety monitoring and early warning system. Fourthly, at the background of a subway station deep foundation pit project in Tianjin, applying job risk analysis(LEC), safety management and the theory of the PDCA management cycling method, this thesis analyzes the monitoring data of the water level outside the foundation pit and concludes a set of management key points for the safety early warning system of the metro deep foundation pit project. What is more, this thesis analyzes and researches the whole foundation pit monitoring management in the four stages of the PDCA management cycling method. At last, this thesis summarizes the management experience of monitoring in the metro deep foundation pit project.The foundation pit monitoring and early warning system is extended to management in this thesis, where the monitoring data is effectively organized and managed. Therefore, this thesis finds the laws and concludes the trends in order to control and reduce risks and decrease losses, lower costs, increase revenue. The results of the thesis can be referred by the similar constructions.
