Traditional shaped charge armor-piercing warhead can form destroying elements as shaped charge jet, jetting penetrator charge, explosive forming projectile, and directional fragment.In the wake of the development of protection technology, it takes great challenges for damaging targets efficiently by destroying elements. In order to enhance warhead lethality, this paper designs a new type stucture of shaped charge warhead whose liner can form sectional destroying elements by explosive load and damage targets efficiently.Design a new type of truncated conical shaped charge liner warhead structure on the base of research actuality overseas and domestic research status, and firstly simulation for process of truncated conical shaped charge liner forming destroying elements using ANSYS/LS-DYNA finite element simulation software. And at the same time, it simulates and analyzes the effluence of liner thickness, radius of circular plate, cone angle, liner material matching and length to diameter ratio charging on the forming process of sectional shaped charge jet.And then analyze the effluence of detonating point on the forming process of sectional shaped charge jet by the method of optimizing the shaped charge jet warhead structure with different detonating method as point initiation, ring initiation, reverse loop initiation and eccentric initiation. Results show that sectional shaped charge jet formed under the condition of different detonating way and initiation point. Finally, simulation for warhead lethality by penetration process for shaped charge jet penetrating concrete targets.Research results show that:(1) New type of truncated conical shaped charge liner improve destroying elements forming mechanism and form great performance shaped charge jet which has high head and tail speed.(2) In the process of new type of truncated conical shaped charge liner warhead structure designing, it shows that liner thickness and circular plate radius is the determining factors of stability of shape of shaped charge jet. Shaped charge jet has the best performance under the condition of diameter ratio charging length is 1, liner cone angle is 90°, liner truncation radius is 22.4 mm, liner top thickness is 2 mm, thickening circular plate radius is 21.57 mm, circular plate thickness is 1.9 mm. For optimized design of warhead charge structure, the liner material combination of Aluminum-Copper can form sectional shaped charge jet and it has high head speed.(3) On the research of optimized design liner structure forming destroying elements penetrating concrete targets, results show that sectional destroying elements have higher lethality than traditional cone liner shaped charge structure, the front aluminum material jet carry out a hole on the concrete target and the following jet has enough power for penetrating and damaging concrete target.
