Abstract/Summary:
The problem that how to destroy the mass of scrap ammunition has been appeared with the rapid speed of the weapon upgrades. Under the condition of existing technology, the blow up technology is still an indispensable destroyed method. The traditional technology using induced detonation to dispose the ammunition which need to be destroyed, but this process needs vast equivalent additional explosives, and generates some harmful effects with big shock wave effect and seismic effect, the safety and reliability of the operation could not be guaranteed. A kind of destroying abandoned ammunition technology that use of shaped charge jet were proposed in this paper.Based on the theory of shaped jet formation and the Jet penetration theory, connected with Shock initiation theory of heterogeneous explosives, the shaped charge jet percussion to destroy mechanism of ammunition and were mainly studied, the charge initiation criterion has gotten by using the shaped jet to initiated the cover plate, this criterion provides a strong theory support to the destruction of the scrap ammunition which uses the jet flow. Summarized the four categories to destroy the source of the ammunition and analyzed the properties of each source of ammunition, the applicable objects which can be destroyed by using the jet flow have been ascertained. Studied the structure of the ammunition, the limit indicators for destruction ammunition have been discovered:ammunition shells material was steel, shell thickness of 30 mm, explosive was explosive Comb-B.Shaped charge jet with high pressure, high temperature, high strain rate and short duration characteristics, made experimental method was single and the data collection was difficult, therefore, the numerical simulation method embodies its certain advantages. The whole process of the shaped jet penetration and the destruction of large diameter scrap ammunition have been simulated by LS-DYNA software. The numerical simulation result was intuitive. Compared with the initiation criterion, the numerical simulation result has a good consistency with the theoretical calculation. This consequence indicates that the process of the ammunition destruction by numerical simulation has certain feasibility and reliability. Comprehensive optimization for the shaped device has been put forward by method of numerical simulation. Charge structure and size were designed, the way of initiation was determined, and verified the effect of using shaped device destruction ammunition under the complex environment and extreme conditions.Studying on initiation network through the experiment method is feasible.The detonating cord, with lead coat and passivation of RDX core charge, was made by homebred drawing machine. Detonation velocity experiment indicated that this kind of detonating cord has high detonation velocity and different detonation velocities between different diameters and different parts. Designed new detonation devices by adopting quadratic charge structure expansion, the result of the Lead plate perforation experiment indicated that it has enough initiation main charging power. Used the Multi-channel high-speed dynamic testing system to test the Detonating network’s synchronization whose feature is one input and three outputs, the consequence reflected that the Detonating network’s synchronization could be controlled within 500ns, it can meet the Multi-point initiation request for the sterilizer by jet flow.
