With fossil energy crisis on Earth and global environmental pollution problems have become more serious, wind energy as a renewable clean energy in recent years has been widely used and developed. With the wind turbine (wind turbine papers referred to the fan) unit capacity and installed capacity continues to increase, the normal operation of wind turbines in recent years become a major issue of concern. Wind turbine failures not only cause damage and even result in personal security incidents. In wind turbines common faults, gearbox faults most frequently, so, for the wind turbine gearbox monitoring and fault diagnosis technology is very meaningful and necessary.This paper first introduces the wind wheel, transmission, enerator, yaw system, hydraulic system, pitch system and other major components of wind turbine and then analyzes the typical fault,in the fault analysis process focus studied the gear box, gear box on the main structure and typical fault analysis can be obtained on the basis of the vibration signal on gearbox fault diagnosis conclusion, through the gearbox vibration signal analysis of algorithms, the algorithm is sometimes the main domain, frequency domain, wavelet analysis, we can get the frequency characteristics of typical faults and thus lay the foundation for the fault diagnosis.In the theoretical study, based on a preliminary study wind turbine condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system, combined with the actual system functional requirements, the design of online monitoring, early warning and fault diagnosis integration system, the entire system of hardware and software to do the elaboration. The vibration signal, for example, through the time domain, frequency domain and wavelet analysis method described wind turbine gearbox fault diagnosis process, there may be hidden faults proposed for the future prevention of a larger unit failures and reduce the loss of the unit, reducing wind field operating costs, reduce safety risks to provide a great help.
