| It is increasingly incisive and prominent that the shortage of water resources and the deterioration of water environment, with the economic booming. The discussion has important significance how to promoting coordinated development of regional wa ter resource environment and economy under the restriction of water resource environment.Respectively, the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the relationship between water resource environment and economic development by using the method of Environmental K uznets C urve(EKC) and coordinated development degree, based on the current assessment of the Jinjiang C ity. Moreover, three kinds of scenarios are designed for simulation the coordinated development of water and economy, based on the system dynamics model. The mainly task and conclusion as follows :(1)There are three index were selected for fitting the EKC from 2005 to 2012 namely, per capita water consumption, water resources utilization and industrial waste water emissions. The result is consistent with inverted āUā type curve characteristics, which the increase of level and efficiency of water resource use and the improvement of water environment, and in the coordinated development region of water resource environment and economy.(2)The coordinated development evaluation index system is constructed for the complex system of water resource environment and economy by theoretical and correlation analysis. The coordinate development degrees of 2005-2012 are calculated by the variation of system coordination degree model. The overall level of coordinated development degree is increased steadily year after year from 0.589 in 2005 to 0.720 in 2012. And Jinjiang C ity has experienced the stage from the coordinated development types of just above to coordinated development types of intermediate.(3)Through the analysis of structure of composite system, the SD model of water environment and economic system is built and three schemes are set for simulating and forecasting by using the system dynamics method. And the coordinated development degrees of three schemes are measured in 2015 and 2020 respectively. The results show that the coordinated development degrees all are on the rise, and all are intermediate coordinated development in 2015 and in addition to the scheme ā
