Research On The Landscape Micro-architecture And Its Features And Functional Beauty

Through research on the current building phenomenon of the landscape micro-architecture in urban open space at home and abroad, this article defines the landscape micro-architecture based on the concept of garden architecture. Moreover, the article points out the key difference between the landscape building and the landscape micro-architecture is that they belong to different space category. Based on such foundation, it has summarized five characteristics of landscape micro-architecture: publicity, highly ornamental value, humanized scale, single function and distinctive landmark. Then, the article proposes that landscape micro-architecture attaches more importance to functional beauty and defines the concept of functional beauty. In the end, according to the recent cases at home and abroad, the article exposits the connotation of functional beauty from four main functions: the shelter, traffic, service and others.
