| In the late 20th and early two or three decades of 21st century, with rapid development of China's economy, people have more requirements for their living environment as their thoughts, ideas, tastes etc are vertiginous in this multi-cultural era. With a building boom of the whole country, building industry of our country is developing rapidly, and meanwhile new concepts, new technologies and new materials of various architectures are constantly emerging. As an important branch of architectural style, the imitation of traditional Chinese architecture had a considerable development. But in this boom, the disharmonious factors, bland imitation and arbitrary abuse of imitation of traditional Chinese architecture, seriously disturb and mislead people's understanding for the Chinese traditional culture. Analyzing classical examples of imitations of traditional Chinese architecture and combining with my own practice, this paper seeks to summarize effective methods and experience to offer reference and guidance in the application of traditional Chinese architecture to landscape architecture for the purpose of avoiding waste and loss of resources in the construction and construct true imitations of traditional Chinese architecture with more contents and highly visual value.Putting emphasis on the method of combination of theory and practice, this paper obtains detailed data about the imitations of traditional Chinese architecture in the Leifeng Tower and Viewing Goldfish at Flower Harbor of the West Lake in Hangzhou by visiting, searching related documents and doing a large amount of relevant research, studies ancient classics about architecture and makes relevant analysis concerning modern classic imitations of traditional Chinese architecture in garden. On the basis of that, the paper summarizes excellent experience and methods for the imitation of traditional Chinese architecture in the application of landscape architecture, points out shortages of the modern classic imitations of traditional Chinese architecture on the aspects of detailed treatments and fusion with new materials and landscape, proposes corresponding improved methods, and verifies by practice, hoping it will have some value and the significance of promotion for the imitation of traditional Chinese architecture in the application of landscape architecture. |
