Pseudo dynamic experimental method is a method applied to investigating the structural seismic performance, which can better reflect the seismically excited building structures. It is a very important link for explicit and dependable results to research the seismic performance of structural all-around and correct in pseudo dynamic experimental method. Thus, the theory of the pseudo dynamic experimental method has important scientific significance.This paper presents an overall description to the origination, development and current state of the pseudo dynamic experimental method; take this as a basis, Research on application technology of spatial pseudo dynamic experimental method was suggested. In the combination with the experiment principle, the spatial pseudo dynamic experimental system was developed based on the electro hydraulic servo system of FlexTest IIm. According to the uniaxial pseudo dynamic experimental study on two-story frame composed of space steel frames model, the part of damage relative serious to be remove, the biaxial pseudo dynamic experimental to be loaded on the rest of the model. The displacement response time history curves under the effect of different seismic were obtained from the unidirectional and bidirectional pseudo dynamic test of the steel space structure. The unidirectional and bidirectional pseudo dynamic test of the steel space structure was built based on general finite analytic software OpenSees. The simulation value and test results of steel space structure were compared and analyzed, which reveal that the pseudo dynamic test method of the spatial bidirectional loading for the superiority of application technology. Through the comparative analysis between the different working conditions of results, the accuracy and stability of the technology was verified.Through the research above, the key technology of the spatial pseudo dynamic experimental based on MTS electro hydraulic servo system is developed. The results provide scientific references for the spatial pseudo dynamic experimental method applied to the seismic performance of structural.
