Prefabricated steel structure has been studied more as hot topic in recent years.Compared with traditional concrete or masonry structure, it has tremendous advantagesin quick construction, rare field wet construction, convenient for industrialization andstandardization, quality easy to control, cost reduction, green and environmentprotection. All of these features lead to huge potential in future architecture. However,studies of prefabricated steel structure still has plenty of shortcomings in domestic andoverseas at present, mainly reflected in low standardization degree, narrow applicationscope and resource wasting. In this regard, they can’t meet the requirement ofstandardization, industrialization and green initiative in the real sense.Therefore, this article summarized the research at home and abroad and proposedone new type steel structure system called panel wall prefabricated steel structure. Thissystem is composed of combined stressed wallboards, non-stressed wallboards andintegrated floor slabs, and possesses the merits of parts production standardization, highintegration, no field welding operation, high assemblage, good comprehensiveeconomic benefits, etc. The system meet the requirement of industrial production andgreen initiative, thus provide reference to achieve “fast, good,economy” of Chineseresidential industry.In order to promote panel wall prefabricated steel structure to popularization andapplication, this article study it’s seismic behavior. Firstly use software ABAQUSmake finite element analysis of the simplified2D load-bearing skeleton under cyclicloading. Bearing capacity, hysteretic behavior, stiffness, ductility and energy dissipation achieved. Also analysis the influence of different column thickness(6mm,8mm,10mm)to the mechanical behavior of the skeleton. Researches have shown that2D model have good behavior of hysteretic and energy dissipation, also the skeletonbearing capacity increases and the failure mode is more reasonable as the columnthickness increases.Simultaneously, in order to study the plastic failure mechanism of panel wallprefabricated steel structure under rare earthquake, use software Midas/Gen to dononlinear static pushover analysis of its6storey structure and compared with the puresteel structure. Analysis shows that panel wall prefabricated steel structure meetspecification requirement well under rare earthquake. Strong column weak beamachieved as the Plastic hinge appear reasonably under severe earthquake. Under thecondition of same steel consumption, panel wall prefabricated steel structure hasstronger lateral resistance capacity, more reasonable deformation mode and its plastichinge occurred more uniformly and sufficiently.Finally, introduce Hua Qing company office building as pilot project to show thepractical application of panel wall prefabricated steel structure. Clarify the manipuilityof the structure through structural arrangement, structural calculation and structuralconstruction plan drawing.
