| Among the many library design methods, atrium is the most commonly useddesign technique, and also the highlight. As a transition space, atrium not onlyorganizes traffic, makes the flow line flexible, but also modulates the indoor micro-climate. Because of its good sense of space and lighting performance, designersgenerally set reading space around the atrium. But nowadays people are moreconcerned with the external form of the architecture, rather than the thermal comfortconditions of the atrium reading space. Atrium as a transition space, unreasonabledesign will consequence of strong summer sunlight, strong greenhouse effect is noteasy for people to study in the atrium for long time; temperature in winter being toolow greatly reduces the user’s reading experience. Comfortable thermal environmentwill make users’ studying and working efficiency improved significantly in thebuilding, so the thermal environment research of library atrium in cold regions isvery important to create a comfortable reading space. This article chooses Harbin universities’ library atrium space in typical city incold regions as the carrier of research, testes the thermal environment of atriumreading space, analyzes the user ’s subjective feelings of the thermal environment, establishes climate adaptation model apply to library buildings, extracts variousfactors affecting thermal comfort of reading space in the atrium. The first chapterdescribes the research background, purpose and significance, research status, theproblems and the thesis framework. The second chapter studies on sampling surveymethods, establishes the mathematical model of minimum sample, determines thesubjective and objective research program, explains thermal comfort research anddata processing methods of atrium reading space. The third chapter conducts a fieldtest studies on winter natural ventilation in Harbin University Library, establishesusers’ adaptive model of natural ventilation in Harbin library in winter. The forthChapter analyzes based on the second and third chapters, summarizes the thermalcomfort impact factors of Library atrium reading space as local climatic conditions, the library atrium space forms, the layout of the surrounding houses, manualequipment adjust, the users’ individual differences, and analyzes on all these fiveaspects, ultimately proposes control strategy of impact factors. This paper aims to study on winter thermal comfort of university library atriumreading space in Cold area. Bases on thermal comfort adaptive model, establishes areasonable heating methods and design temperature index of indoor thermalenvironment. Obtains optimum comfort while achieving building energy efficiency, providing viewers a comfortable reading space. Provides thermal comfort studies ofexisted and future library atrium for reference and plays a positive role of promoting. |
