Since the international and domestic communities have paid attention to the Climate Warming, the effective control of the growth of greenhouse gas emissions from air transport by means of emission reduction market mechanisms has become one of the important measures to address climate change. In this paper, the carbon emission reduction costs faced by aviation logistics are discussed as the theme.Under the background of emission reduction market mechanism(ERMM),the costs formed by companies to achieve emission reduction targets have already constituted an important part of the cost of aviation logistics companies. The state has participated in the ICAO intercontinental aviation carbon offset and emission reduction plan in order to realize its commitment to reducing emissions from the international community and promote the low-carbon development of the aviation logistics industry. It has also launched a domestically market-driven carbon emission trading mechanism. The participation and implementation of the international and domestic ERMM,when guaranteed emission reduction targets, will also have direct and indirect impact on the carbon emissions costs of aviation logistics companies. At present, research on this aspect is relatively scarce. In response to this problem, this paper based on the theoretical basis of ERMM and carbon emission reduction costs, combined with aviation energy consumption and carbon emissions status, proposed the impact mechanism of aviation logistics ERMM and analyzed the energy consumption of aviation logistics in China. The key factors affecting carbon emissions include aviation logistics activity levels, aviation fuel efficiency, and aviation carbon emission factors. The scenario analysis method and the long-term energy alternative planning system(LEAP)method were used to construct the LEAP scenario analysis model for China’s aviation logistics carbon emissions.Aviation logistics carbon emissions, carbon emission rights gaps and carbon abatement costs among the year of 2021-2035 were evaluated under the three scenarios of optimistic scenarios, pessimistic scenarios, and most likely scenarios. The research results show that the future carbon emissions and carbon credit rights gaps of China’s aviation logistics enterprises under the emission reduction market mechanism have all increased to varying degrees. In order to achieve the emission reduction targets, higher carbon emission reduction costs are required, which will increase the operating costs of aviation logistics companies, reducing the overall competitiveness of enterprises, ultimately affecting China’s aviation logistics low-carbon development capabilities and levels, leading toa significant negative effect for the development of aviation logistics companies. To reduce the cost pressures of achieving emission reduction targets under the ERMM and promote low-carbon development in the aviation logistics industry. The cost of carbon emission reduction forces aviation logistics companies to cope with the pressure brought by carbon emission reduction costs by means of emission reduction market mechanisms, the internal digestion of costs, and external transfer, and to some extent promote their own low-carbon development. Therefore, this paper proposes the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the low-carbon development of China’s aviation logistics from the point of view of making good use of emission reduction market mechanisms, internal digestion of costs, and external transfer.
