Nowadays the world is confronted to a range of environmental issues such as global warming. This problem is due to greenhouse gas emission which has serious consequences in every part of the world.Such issue like climate change, toxic waste and ozone depletion are considered as international matter for the reason that it does not affect only a country or a part of our planet but all regions, nature, people and economy. Therefore protecting wildlife as well as the population has become a main concern among states. The international community is under pressure and challenged by this environmental crisis, thus the necessity to answer is an emergency. This research aims to highlight the growing importance of the environment, but more specifically France and People's Republic of China's contribution to the environmental matter.Their approaches to that field are influenced by various aspects such as social, political, cultural and economic sectors. This study will examine how the decisions they made in term of international cooperation and environmental policies have influenced their position in international relations nowadays and thus enable them to reach a greater status in the Global Environment Governance. In order to clarify their positions in the international community, this paper will try to analyze their behaviours through the approach of the constructivist theory and concepts such as identity, environmental consciousness, power and security. Finally the last chapter will be divided in two perspectives. The first one clarifying the different position and behaviour of each state in some agreements such as the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Climate Change agreement, and the second one emphasizing the cooperation through Sino-French projects.
