Study On Application Of Cheongsam Design In Fashionable Dress

Clothing has a long history and a rich culture.It is not only demonstrate people’s living standards,but also express the change of people’s aesthetic at a certain period in history.Cheongsam,as one of the most famous traditional Chinese dress,can display the lasting appeal of oriental women.As a classic clothing,Cheongsam is ubiquitous in people’s life.Through the history of precipitation,it is not just a piece of clothing.Standing for intellectuality,introvert and humbleness of Chinese female,Cheongsam is a typical representative of Chinese traditional costume.Nowadays,with the economic globalization and the invasion of the foreign culture,Chinese traditional costume culture stagnated slowly.Although the traditional culture has been admired by everybody,but not taken seriously enough by us.We need to think deeply,so as to come up with a better solution.Through the analysis of the concept and background of the Chinese dress,as well as the evolution process and features of Cheongsam,I summarizes how to integrate Chinese dress design elements into fashion and design ideas and methods.In addition,through the participation in my tutor’s projects,I integrate design theory and method into the actual design cases,and then analysis and summary these cases.In order to ensure the final design work connected with the trend,they inherited the characteristics of Chinese traditional clothing and culture,in accordance with the modern women’s life and aesthetic demand as well.
