Survey And Analysis Of Rural Human Settlement Environment Of Wukeshu Town In Yushu City

The improvement of the rural living environment is not only an important indicator to measure the quality of life of rural residents,but also an essential part of building a well-off society and a new socialist countryside in an all-round way.It is also a crucial step in bridging the gap between urban and rural areas and in balancing urban and rural development.This paper takes the Wu Ke Shu Town of Yushu City in Jilin Province as the research object.This paper introduces a comprehensive survey,including field trips,interviews and questionnaires,on the infrastructure,the living environment and the ecological environment as well as other relevant aspects of Wu Ke Shu town and points out the main problems of the construction of human settlement environment thereof.Based on the typical cases at home and abroad,this paper puts forward suggestions to strengthen the construction of rural living environment.This paper concludes that Wu Ke Shu Town plays a very important role in the economic development of Yushu City,but the construction of human settlement environment is far beyond satisfaction.The problems include poor road quality,backward infrastructure construction,homogenous entertainment content,uncoordinated estate planning,severe "hollowing out" phenomenon,potential hygiene and safety hazard in the toilets,random sewage and garbage disposal,deficient disposal facilities,and weak awareness of environmental protection and low willingness to participate in the improvement of the living environment among the farmers.The reasons behind the problems are the lack of government attention and propaganda,relatively low educational level of villagers and loss of subject status.According to the typical cases at home and abroad,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: transform the thoughts of the villagers,introduce villagers’ participation scheme,build up the villagers’ subject status,improve the awareness of environmental protection,strengthen publicity and education,establish a sound long-term mechanism,implement accountability measures,increase capital investment,widen financing channels,consider the local conditions and plan in a scientific manner,strengthen the infrastructure construction,improve cultural and recreational facilities and waste and sewage treatment facilities,develop the characters of the village,eliminate the “hollowing out” phenomenon and other suggestions.
