Preparation And Research Of Water-soluble Acrylic Resin Varnish For Silicon Steel Sheet

With the strength of people's environmental protection awareness and more stringent limit on volatile organic compound(VOC)emissions,people pay more and more attention on study of water soluble resin.In recent years,water soluble acrylic resin gets rapid development due to its excellent optical,thermal and chemical stability,weathering resistance and chemical resistance.In this paper,the water-soluble acrylic resin was synthesized by MMA,AA,SM and BA based on the free radical grafted polymerization theory.The peroxynitrite type initiator was choosed and add neutralizing agent to take the resin with water soluble.The optimal condition of polymerization was listed as follow: the BPO and DCP was controlled to 4% of the amount of monomers respectively as the proportion 7:1,monomer ratio is 10wt% MMA,12.5wt% AA,20wt% SM,12.5% BA and 12.5% neutralizing agent of monomers respectively.The semi continuous dropping method was choosed and the polymerization temperature was controlled at 118 ?.Moreover,some contents of curing agent and latent solvent were added into the acrylic resin,in order to get water soluble acrylic lacquer have 40% solid content.The obtained water soluble acrylic lacquer is light yellow liquid and transparent homogeneous with hardness is 8H.In the last part of this research,hydroxyl acrylic resin and AMPS was used to modify the acrylic resin.Results indicated that the hydroxyl acrylic resin can improve resin water soluble and reduce the consumption of neutralizing agent.The hardness of film increases to 9H.The adding method of AMPS into the resin was also investigated.Results indicated that the introduction of AMPS with droplet can effectively increase the water soluble of resin without neutralization,but the hardness of film is a lightly decreased.
